KITESURFING CONDITIONS
Zanzibar offers perfect conditions for kitesurfing. The best time is between the middle of June till the end of September and from December till February. The WIND always blows along the beach – in August from South-East, in December from North-East. An approximate wind speed is 16 knots, rising in the evening. The most used kite size is 12 m and 9 m. The water is cristal-clear and home to many beautiful and colorful fish species and dolphins.

LOCATION
Paje lies on the eastern shore of Zanzibar, 60 km from the airport. Kitesurfers consider it to be the beast and most valuable surf spot. Sandy bottom, shallow water and the reef about 1,5 km away. There is a couple of restaurants and hotels in the area, and the very place, although popular among tourist, is very quiet and free of crowds (as is the whole Zanzibar, by the way). Here you can rest in a private and peaceful atmosphere. For those who need a little more action, we offer another one in Matemwe/Kiwengwa on the North-West shore and the renown dive spot in Nungwi on the Norhern tip of the island.

ACCOMMODATION
A picturesque private Vanilla House located in the South or Bellevue – North of Paje and the kite spot. We transport the surfers to the dive spot free of charge in approximately 10 minutes.

KITESURFING COURSES
Introduction
3 hours – 90 EUR* per person.
It begins with a lesson of kite operating – first on the beach, than in the water. Exercise bodydrag and safety procedures. At the end a shord ride on the board.
You willn need: surf shorts, surf boots, surf shirt or a t-shirt, sun block UV50.

Complete course
3x3 hours – 240 EUR* per person
First 3 hours of the course are similar to the introduction course. The next 6 hours we will devote to mastering kite control and using it to sail with the board. Exercise water start and safety procedures. The aims of the course: start, gaining speed, control, try to sail up the wind.
After this course most students are ready to rent kitesurfing gear.

Advanced course
1 hour privare class – 40 EUR* per person
We offer this course to those, who wish to master certain techniques to the elementary level. It is meant for those, who can already sail up the wind and wish to learn the secrets of such tricks as: jumps, smooth turns, jump turns, basic spins etc. This is where the real kitesurfing begins.
You will need: surf shorts, surf boots, surf shirt or a t-shirt, sun block UV50.

Private class for a beginner (minimum 2 hours): 1 hour @ 40 EUR* per person

ATTENTION
The prices of all courses apply to groups (of minimum 4 participants). The private classes are according to an instructor and gear availibility. Interested kitesurfers must demonstrate their water skills and good situation judgement before there are allowed to surf without supervision. The gear is included in the courses’ price.
We also offer kite trips, during which we take you on a journes in several places of the island. Usually we kitesurf down with the wind along the Eastern coast. On the way you can encounter turtles, dolphins, tunas etc. Such trips are approximately 30 km long, without stopping, over beautiful reefs in the amazing waters of Zanzibar.

ATTENTION
Before rental confirmation each kiter/surfer must prove his/her level of skills. It is essential for providing safety to surfers, as well as to avoid possible gear damages. The user is fully responsible for the rented gear – we do not offer any insurance coverage.
