Dorota Katende - I gained deep knowledge of Eastern Africa, from the traditions of the local tribes, while living in a Masaai village, to tracking wild animals with my guide, teacher and lion tamer of the Samburu tribe. My adventure with Africa took me there on various expeditions over 70 times, for which I have spent an amount higher than the cost of a new Jaguar. But the knowledge they gave me is my greatest asset and the smartest investment. It cannot be destroyed and is not vulnerable to theft. I do not have to worry about it.
I have put most of my memories in a form of diary, which I have already decided to publish. There are still some that I will maybe write down twenty years from now, when Africa is changed. Now, it is still exotic, intact, untouched by civilization and corruption. I think that the media cunningly create a distorted picture of Africa to keep it in the margins of world's interest, perhaps to hide almost untouched natural resources and the primary healthy "psyche". Throughout this time I got to know many people who I am friends with and keep family-like contacts. I have founded Safari Travel company to use my experience in organizing trips for hundreds of people who dream of Africa but are still a little afraid of it. I have organized numerous trips of my idea to Kenya and Tanzania. They were always untypical new ideas for exploration of African offroads.
Although I am no mountaineer, I have climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. I did it to face my weaknesses and the desire to resign and just let go. Since then, I know that anything can be achieved just with enough will-power.In Jambiani village on the shores of the Indian Ocean I have built Vanilla House, where I host tourists from all over the world. It is also the place where I write my stories of Africa, safari and columns of my African Diaries.I still work as a guide and continue to organize new expeditions to Eastern Africa. Jolanta Janke - I prepare the globetrotters for African expeditions, I provide information and I try to carry out even the most sophisticated needs. Cooperation and contacts with interesting people, travelers and writers in an exotic atmosphere is what I value most. Our work allows us to travel and to get to know other cultures. We have friends in all over Africa.Every day we face a new challange. As an assistant I take care of coordination of contracts and services, I advise tourists on routes and itineraries, and I provide assistance in urgent matters during their stay in Africa.Justin Haroub - divemaster, manager of our Vanilla House in Zanzibarze. He is a native Zanzibari bound with the ocean since he was a child. He worked as a fisherman and dove for 14 years in all lagoons and coral reefs of Zanzibar. He was the to discover and described the coral reefs and diving destinations in the east coast of Zanzibar in Jambiani vicinity. Some of these places are still unknown by other divemasters. For many years he organized dive safaris on a yacht, lasting a week or longer on the ocean.
Karol Rydzkowski - divemaster leading Safari Divers in Poland. He is a scuba diving enthusiast who prepares dive trips to Zanzibar and diving courses in Poland. Here is what he says about his work: Working for Safari Travel requires focusing on the needs of others. But at the same time it gives an opportunity to demonstrate the ingenuity and creativity. In other professions one often has to perform the same repetitive actions every day throughout the year. In Safari we work "on behalf" of our tourists. Each of them requires a slightly different approach and expects the services to match their needs and make them feel special. And that very moment of meeting those expectations and stisfying a customer is my reward for all the hard work and effort. Of course sometimes there are minor changes that need to be done, but with each client they are fewer. As they say: "Each failure gets you closer to the success."
Skipper Jones - professionally prepared to handle VIPs. He started to work in tourism couple dozens of years ago after graduating form a Polish univeristy. He is currently responsible for servicing trips for well-known personalities. He speaks Polish and combines Polish and African cultures.
Jonas Muli Mutinda - a long-time employee of our company. He is an educated ornithologist who with great passion extends his knowledge of the birds. He is responsible for uncommon itineraries for globetrotters. He is an excellent guide and tracker during the safari. He speaks English, Swahili, Akamba and Hebrew. In his free time he plays many instruments and sings in a gospel band.
Alois Lekolii - tracker, driver and mechanic from the Samburu tribe. He speaks English, Masaai and many dialects. He was a warrior in the past, who with his strength and courage can tame a lion, hence he gets great respect form the globetrotters. With him one can learn a lot about the traditions of Masaai and taste their delicacy drink: blood with milk. He is an offroad specialist for truck overlands and is also responsible for organization of the most difficult expeditions through Afirca and real safari rallies. He only takes a true adventure seekers with him to the remote world far from civilization. It is hard work ? every day you need to change tyres, pull the car out of mud or desert sand, sleep in tents or cottages and make a fire without maches.
Odongo Benedict - English-to-Polish translator, Kenyan national. He graduated form an univeristy in Poland. He works in the state administration, but during our trips he is an interpreter.
